MMA BANS HEAD CONTACT

The NFL is not the only major sport trying to figure out how to deal with head injuries.  In a drastic move to eliminate head injuries, Ultimate Fighting Championship and several other major MMA organizations announced today that they will outlaw ‘any and all’ contact to the head. This was announced earlier today at a joint press conference including several of the organizations owners.

UFC President Dana White stated, “Our main concern is our athletes. We don’t think this rule change will hurt our organization, in fact we think it will force our fighters to become better all around and hone their skills to match it.”

With this announcement, there comes several other changes. The organizations are excited to announce that they expect more sponsors that normally wouldn’t invest in this type of sport. A representative from Conttonelle revealed that the company has been approached by several owners asking them to design special gloves for the athletes to wear that will soften blows as well as sooth the skin with aloe.

“It’s really something special, the aloe infused gloves allow them to soothe over any bruises or cuts, while still remaining super absorbent to blood.”

The changes could go in affect as early as next month. Some of the feature athletes are looking forward to the changes. Tito Ortiz said, “Now I don’t have to worry about damage to my pretty face.”

A full press release including all of the changes will be released later this week.
